SiWIM Weigh-in-Motion

Welcome to Bridge Weigh-in-Motion site

SiWIM is a fully portable, very accurate and reliable bridge Weigh-in-Motion system. It is installed on the superstructure of an existing bridge. SiWIM installation does not damage the pavement.

SiWIM results are used for pre-selection of overloaded vehicles, for traffic analyses and for studies needed for efficient design and assessment of road infrastructure assets (pavements and bridges).

Test measurements in the Sultanate of Oman

This May, by the invitation of the company Waleed Associates L.L.C. from Muscat, two test measurements were performed in the area of Qurayat and in the city of Muscat. Short analysis and presentation of results were performed during the visit for the Ministry of Transportation and Muscat muncipality administration.

System performed excelent with new record of highest recorded air temperature to be 54 °C.
