TRANSPORT RESEARCH ARENA EUROPE 2008April 21 to 24, 2008, Ljubljana, Slovenia| The main purpose of the TRA is the implementation of the European Research Area on road transport. TRA is most attractive for the research industry and to those who have to implement the results of research into transport: namely road administrations at national, regional and local levels, as well as vehicle manufacturers and fuel producers. The conference will deal with climate changes and road safety, embraced in the slogan "Greener, safer and smarter transport for Europe”. The conference programme will be organised in several plenary, strategic and thematic sessions based on European road research needs and agendas. |  | | | |
TRA 2008 will offer an excellent opportunity for participants from the member states that have joined the European Union in 2004 and 2007, as well as from other European non-EU countries, to find new partners and to meet the EC officials who will assist them in their future research efforts, transport of goods, transport safety and security, etc. The weeklong TRA 2008 conference will feature a number of technical visits and other events showcasing some of Slovenia's major road transport facilities and projects, and cultural highlights. |
